We’re so happy to have you here. This is the first issue of Fashion Facts: your monthly dose of honest insights, smart recommendations, and fresh ideas at the intersection of fashion and sustainability.
This newsletter is our way of bringing a light on the people, ideas, and innovations that are reshaping the industry and making space for a community that values style, but with substance and meaning.
It’s also where we share what’s real, highlight what’s working, and question what’s not. We wanted to create a space to explore fashion that feels good and does good.
Because we believe fashion can be beautiful, fun, and responsible.

The Team

Alex
Rethinker & always questioning the status quo. Creative, analytical and emotional. Passionate about fashion ever since – it is art, history, culture, self-expression, protest and much more to me. People who are trying to change the world to a more just & fairer place for all are my inspiration.
When my brain needs a break from the fashion world and rethinking, I am probably training, cuddling my niece, dreaming about the ocean or just sleeping.

Lu
Wife & Marketer. I've changed a lot recently, when I found out that life it's good on itself and to me, the best place to be is where I can live without wishing for more.
When I’m not deep in strategy and marketing, you’ll find me traveling, learning, working out or reading over a good coffee.
Tori

Explorer, Engineer & Everyday Outfit Overthinker. I’ve always loved clothes, not for the trends, but for how they make me feel. At the same time, I have often stood in front of a full closet thinking "Why is this so hard?". That question led me to build an AI-powered wardrobe app, combining my love for tech and styling with a mission to make fashion feel better, for people and the planet.
I'm driven by curiosity, cozy sweaters and the belief that even small shifts in how we dress can create bigger change. When I'm not coding or testing outfit ideas, I’m probably somewhere between cities, a book/podcast and a cup of tea.
Brands
There are so many local, sustainable, fair, conscious, circular, amaaazing brands and stores in Vienna, Austria & Europe. But we do know that sometimes time-, convenience- or money-wise it is easier to buy fast fashion. We want to change that. We want to make those amazing brands and stores the easiest option for you. Therefore we will introduce them in every newsletter, as well as on Social Media.
BUT that is not all: We also have discount codes for you!

Survey
We need your help!
How do you shop?
We’re building Every for people like you: thoughtful, style-aware, and ready for something different. But before we launch, we want to hear from you.
We’ve put together a quick questionnaire to better understand how people shop, discover brands, and choose what to wear. It takes just a few minutes, and your answers will directly shape our first product drops and how we show up as a brand.
Facts

In the EU 5.8 million tonnes of textiles are discarded every year. That makes about 11.3 kg per person. Take a light bag, put it on a scale & fill it with 11.3kg of clothes. Crazy how much that is, right?! If would it be only T-shirts, the numbers of units is around 55.
Only 1% of the materials used around the world for clothing is recycled into new clothing
Textile consumption is one of the top three pressures on water and land use

But as we never want to end on a bad note, but always positively and even better with a good laugh, following, there are three recommendations for you to not only consume more consciously, but to enjoy doing so...
Recommendations
To make you laugh, of shock.
These 30 minutes will definitely be worth your time! Yes, some facts are shocking, but we still laughed our asses off.
A good reading...

Fix your Fashion - How to create an ethical wardrobe.

It's definitely an easy read, perfect before bed time, when relaxing at the beach or on a lazy Sunday afternoon. It will inspire you and give you practical and easy-peasy tips for better fashion habits.

Movie night: Ocean
The movie itself might not be directly linked to fashion, but as we are trying to live more consciously in general and rethink our own habits, this movie might inspire you as well.
It is still running in cinemas and we promise, the incredible shots of wildlife will take your breath away.
Climate Fresk Workshop
Climate Fresk is an NGO that wants to help people better understand climate change and its impact.
They don't only foster knowledge but are also inspiring the participants to finding solutions. There are constantly workshops held in Austria (or online), check them out here.

That’s a wrap on Issue No. 1!
We’re so happy you’ve made it to the end of our very first Fashion Facts! Creating this has been such a joy, and we’re just getting started.
There’s so much more ahead: more stories, more swaps, more ideas for dressing well without the waste. We’re building this with you, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s coming next.
If you enjoyed this issue, we’d love it if you shared it with a friend who cares about fashion with purpose too. The more, the better — because real change is a community thing.
