If you don’t remember who we are or what this newsletter is about, here’s a quick reminder ;) 

We are Lu, Tori & Alex. Three women, ONE goal: to reshape the fashion industry into something transparent, sustainable, circular and most importantly joyful, exciting & personal.

Vienna Fashion Week

Not only is September the most important issue of fashion magazines, it is also Vienna Fashion Week month. From 15.-20.9. the MuseumsQuartier Wien (Halle E + G) is transforming into a colourful, artsy fashion wonderland: Fashion Shows, a shopping area, pop-up stores and most importantly: local brands! Our highlights this year are: 

Fashion Reloaded by Pensionistinnen Klubs Wien

Under the title „Fashion reloaded presents Earth and Stars“ the the designers and models – who are all 60+ – will present their upcycled looks on the runway. 

Uplift25 presented by Nunu Kaller

16 female designers from across Austria present designs that are a combination of upcycled donated clothes – from Caritas or Volkshilfe Wien – and fabrics that were woven in Austria.

Second-hand September

As mentioned already, September is the most important month in the fashion industry: the biggest issues of magazines, fashion weeks, runway shows and new trends for a new season. As a counterpart to buying new, Oxfam started Second-Hand September to show that also pre-loved items can give you the same endorphin rush! 

And honestly: we love it! We know that trends are great and that the way we dress is an expression of our personality - as it should be. But we also believe that we can create new trends from the runway by using second hand and vintage items only.

Challenge: Can you go through September without buying anything new? 

Movie Time

School is starting again, and so is a new season. We know it is always extremely tempting to cover oneself in new things, from fashion & beauty to electronics & interior.

But what is our consumerism really doing to our planet and how are companies and major brands manipulating consumer behavior and therefore contribute massively to waste and environmental degradation?

On Netflix you can find the documentary “Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy”. Definitely worth watching! It got us rethinking and reflecting what we really need and want. 

Brands

There are so many local, sustainable, fair, conscious, circular, amaaaazing brands and stores in Vienna, Austria & across Europe. But we also know that time-wise, convenience-wise, or budget-wise fast fashion can feel like the easier option. We want to change that.

That’s why we’re making it easier than ever to discover and support better brands. Each month, we’ll introduce our favorite picks right here in the newsletter, across our social media, and now also in our new “Brands of the Month” blog series.

ClothingSwap

To make Second-hand September and the challenge to not buy new easier for you, we will host our second Clothing Swap on Sunday, 28.9.2025, in the 7th district.

If you’ve got old, beautiful, still-useful clothes hiding in your closet (and untouched for the past 6 months), now’s the perfect time to give them a new life. Our upcoming Clothing Swap on September 28 is a great opportunity to let go of what no longer serves you, and refresh your wardrobe with some new-to-you pre-loved pieces.
